AtomicDEX Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

1. Introduction

AtomicDEX is committed to protecting user privacy and maintaining transparency about data practices. This Privacy Policy outlines how information is handled when you use the AtomicDEX Wallet and decentralized exchange platform. As a non-custodial service, AtomicDEX is fundamentally designed to minimize data collection and maximize user sovereignty over personal information.

2. Non-Custodial Architecture

AtomicDEX operates on a fully non-custodial model. Private keys, seed phrases, and wallet credentials are generated and stored exclusively on the user's local device. AtomicDEX has no access to, does not collect, and cannot retrieve your private keys, passwords, or recovery phrases under any circumstances. Your financial data remains entirely under your control.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

AtomicDEX does not collect personal identification information, financial account details, private keys, seed phrases, or wallet passwords. The platform does not track individual trading activity, maintain user accounts on centralized servers, or store personally identifiable information. There is no registration process requiring email addresses, phone numbers, or identity documents.

4. Information That May Be Processed

During normal platform operation, certain technical data may be processed transiently, including IP addresses for peer-to-peer network connectivity, blockchain transaction data that is publicly available by nature, and general usage telemetry for platform stability. This data is not linked to personal identities and is processed in accordance with the decentralized architecture of the platform.

5. Blockchain Transparency

Users should be aware that blockchain transactions are inherently public and permanently recorded on their respective networks. While AtomicDEX does not link wallet addresses to personal identities, transaction histories on public blockchains are visible to anyone. Users concerned about transaction privacy should consider using privacy-focused cryptocurrencies supported by the platform.

6. Peer-to-Peer Communications

AtomicDEX facilitates peer-to-peer connections for atomic swap execution and order broadcasting. Network communications are encrypted and routed through the decentralized node network. No centralized server stores or monitors the content of peer-to-peer trade negotiations or swap execution data.

7. Local Data Storage

All wallet data, preferences, and configuration settings are stored locally on the user's device. AtomicDEX does not maintain cloud backups of user data. Users are solely responsible for backing up their seed phrases and ensuring the security of their local storage. Uninstalling the application will remove all locally stored data.

8. Third-Party Services

AtomicDEX may integrate with third-party services for features such as fiat on-ramps or market data feeds. These services operate under their own privacy policies and may collect information independently. AtomicDEX is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party providers. Users are encouraged to review external privacy policies before engaging with integrated services.

9. Security Measures

AtomicDEX employs industry-standard encryption protocols to protect local wallet data and network communications. The platform utilizes hash time-locked contracts (HTLCs) to ensure secure atomic swap execution. Security updates and patches are released regularly to address emerging threats and maintain platform integrity.

10. Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in platform functionality or regulatory requirements. Material changes will be communicated through the platform interface. Continued use of AtomicDEX following policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Users are encouraged to review this policy regularly.
